The short version

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA, we test every screen with a keyboard and a screen reader, and we will fix anything you report within 10 business days.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA across the ThreadProof website and the exhibit builder. Accessibility is checked as part of building each screen: keyboard operation, focus visibility, colour contrast, form labels, headings and landmarks, reduced-motion preferences, and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.

What already works

  • Every interactive control is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
  • Visible focus rings, semantic headings, and skip-free landmark structure.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 in both the light and dark themes.
  • Animation is suppressed when your system asks for reduced motion.
  • Forms have real labels, inline error text, and errors announced to screen readers.
  • The whole product works at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom.

Known limitations

  • Drawing redaction rectangles on a screenshot is a pointer gesture. There is a keyboard path (select a region field and enter values), but it is slower than using a mouse or a finger. We are improving this.
  • Drag-and-drop reordering of screenshots relies on pointer input; use the move up and move down buttons on each item as the keyboard equivalent.
  • Generated PDFs contain images of your screenshots. Image content cannot be read by a screen reader, because ThreadProof never performs text recognition on your images. Page numbers, labels and the cover sheet are real text.
  • Payment fields are rendered inside Paddle's hosted checkout and inherit its styling.

Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We reply within five business days and will offer an alternative way to get the same result while we fix the underlying issue.
