An image of exactly what a screen displayed at the moment of capture.

A screenshot is a picture of what a screen showed. Its strength as a record is that it captures the interface as the parties saw it, including names, bubble colours, and time markers.

Its weaknesses are that it captures only what is currently on the device and that a folder of them has no inherent order. Both are addressed by capturing continuous ranges and packaging them into one numbered document.
